The final pixel just slid perfectly into place. Thanks to you one more piece of the internet is beautiful. The design is breath taking, and not just because your mom said so. Or is it? You better take another look. Seems fine? Ok, if you say so.
A problem I run into pretty often when I make a design is the quality of my personal equipment. This isn't your normal gripe though. As someone that spends 10-16 hours a day in front of a computer screen I have invested a bit of money into my monitors. In fact my tower cost less than the wide screen sitting on top of it. I don't have the stats to prove it, but I am willing to bet that this isn't the standard setup.
Sometimes I will spend hours on a design getting each little detail perfect, then the next day go into my day job and take a quick sneak peak on the cheapo monitor that I'm provided there. Invariably I am dissapointed. Cheaper monitors simply do not display the subtle color changes the same way my more expensive gear does. Sometimes when I'm feeling the best about a design is when the end results are actually the worse on lower end displays, so do yourself a favor and check out your design on another system before you check off that to do item.
