A Breather

Over the last few days I’ve been taking a break from writing, in the mass of deadlines I place upon myself it was the easiest to ignore. It’s been a welcome break, both for me and my wife I think. We’ve been waiting to watch Season 4 of Mad Men for almost a month, and have finally started now that I’m not at the keyboard all evening. I’d love to say that I am ready to dive back into writing, and in a sense I am, but I have to find out what happens next in Season 4 first I think. My mind is still working in the background, chewing on story ideas and characters all of which will hopefully be ready for spewing out onto the keyboard in the next couple of days. (Hooray for news that Season 5 will begin shooting soon!)

In other news I’m digging into Johannes Cabal the Detective, the second book in the Johannes Cabal series from Jonathan Howard, and am not disappointed with what I’ve found so far. The humor is still in place and though Johannes seems to have softened a little, he still seems to be the bastard that made the first book so enjoyable.
